This is the year I enter the blogging world.
What an interesting journey this could be!
I intend to share ideas for creating an interactive environment in your middle school or high school classroom. At the same time I hope to inspire teachers to challenge both their students and themselves.
When I got my first teaching job, my principal told me that I was hired because in the interview I had said that I believed math could be taught creatively. For thirty-plus years I have been trying to live up to this claim. Every year I have taught has been different as I rework, improve, and tweek things. I definitely have favorite activities that I use each year. However, I am always trying out new instructional strategies, activities, organizational approaches, and motivational techniques as well.
I LOVE creating instructional materials! Visit my Teachers Pay Teachers Store, "Activities by Jill" to see a collection of activities that are both creative and effective. Please follow this blog "Interactive Ideas & Inspiration" to see how things unfold. Stay tuned ...
